I'm still using 3.0 btw, will that work even though I'm on 3.0? While I have you, can you tell me, is there a way to have a custom edited rom recognized as it's own separate rom? I'm a tester for Ultimate MK3 Tournament Edition, and we have to use a rom-rename method to make it work, forcing us to change between the original 1.2 revision for mamehub to recognize the rom, then rename the TE game to the proper name to make it run.
I know version of MK2 are hacks recognized by mame, but since mame decides what versions of games to recognize, I was wondering if you have a method of customizing it so that some games are immediately recognized by mamehub. All of the rom detection is based on the mameRoms.xml.gz file (it's a zipped xml file).
You can edit this file to add your custom rom. On Fri, Dec 5, 2014 at 12:43 PM, 995phil wrote: Do I have to run the update or no? I'm still using 3.0 btw, will that work even though I'm on 3.0?
