Attached is the software for programming and aligning the Motorola GM300 radios. This is DOS software and you need a real serial port.

It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package.
Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it. For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants.
These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern. Probably better to just get another GM300 on E-Bay, etc. If the codeplug has been corrupted only thing you can do is replace the logic board. A tricky deal, since if you mess up programming the blank board, you have to get another logic board. You don't say if you can read/write to the radio, also do you have the Motorola GM300 software, cables and interface box and software service manual?
